I know where the 1800′s activity was going on at the time. The silver and other old coins I have found by this research, is on the outskirts of all this historic activity. When you put all these coins on the map, amazingly they all point towards the main source of all this history. This is over a ten mile area. The closer I get to the center of …

Metal Detecting Morning Silvers – www.metaldetectorX.com – After finding that Walker, I had to get back to that place ASAP. I believe I have figured out why this place is producing silver coins well. A long time ago this place was the city dump. With 10+ trash targets per swing, this place is quite a challenge. To detect here I have to sweep the coil at the speed of a running ant. The second reason being, it’s next to a couple major highways. The noise from the roads makes it very hard to concentrate. Six months ago I would have ran from places like this. – neswiper

I was in the middle of the park detecting and this truck is coming at me with a flashing yellow light on the top. “Did you get anything” the guy says. I look on the door of the truck and it says City Parks & Recreation”. I tell the guy I’ve got about 85 cents and a pouch full of trash. This area of the park produced the silver coin and the wheat penny. Once again we ran in to Metal Detector Bicycle Dude. We swapped a few more stories. We must have chatted for 20 minutes.
Metal Detecting, Almost Hit The BIG ONE – www.metaldetectorx.com – So close yet so far. Is the mint mark worn off, or was there never one to begin with? You be the judge. I know next to nothing about coins, but I know enough to see I came close to hitting the BIG ONE! (snicker) I found a new black soil area (second part of video). It could turn out to be a new secret honey hole. This discovery came at a good time, as the other location has been stripped to the bone. These are the lovely black soil areas, in which you can swing a few times without breaking the threshold. This jet black soil rubs off a silver coin like it’s attached via static electricity. There is nothing like it in metal detecting. – neswiper neswiper uses the Minelab E-TRAC & 18X15 SEF Coil, sunray X-1 Target Probe 1916D Mercury Dime – Silver Coins – Metal Detectors
