This is a video from a spot ive been metal detecting when I get time that is private property that i go when the gate is open by the owner while hes there. I Scored 5 silver coins and my first half dollar, plus more and a few small coin spills. I also did alittle coin searching for half dollars at a local back before i detected and scored 7 silver 40% half dollars. I had the search for them on tape but it was to long of a video so I just showed the finds from them at the end. Enjoy my best silver day so far…

Metal Detecting, Almost Hit The BIG ONE – www.metaldetectorx.com – So close yet so far. Is the mint mark worn off, or was there never one to begin with? You be the judge. I know next to nothing about coins, but I know enough to see I came close to hitting the BIG ONE! (snicker) I found a new black soil area (second part of video). It could turn out to be a new secret honey hole. This discovery came at a good time, as the other location has been stripped to the bone. These are the lovely black soil areas, in which you can swing a few times without breaking the threshold. This jet black soil rubs off a silver coin like it’s attached via static electricity.
