A little research on an old Carnival ground used in the 1920′s .Gave us ideas where to search at this old & thouroly well metal detected site.. Just a little off the path & we found there were still a couple hotspots that have escaped Metal Detectors..Till Now.. Out metal detecting with my buddy Greg again…We hit a few wooded areas near a park.

Greg & I went metal detecting back at that hObO camp we had such good luck at..It was one of four locations we hunted that day. Two of those locations provided Great success..The best results came from that HoBo Camp. I went back to the newer park again for the second straight night and this time I finally got me some Silver! Picked a barber dime and a sterling cuff I would think with the Saints symbol on it which is an old British mark, its very old. Also for a few Indians, wheat cents and more. I found a lot of nice old coins and relics in July. I was surprised to find my oldest wheat penny in my yard, from 1916. I was also surprised to find a musket ball in my backyard. I also went to the old inn and detected the dirt pile where I found an old button, wheat penny, and gold ring in the past. This time I found a musket ball and an Indian Head Penny from 1880. The Indian Head is in beautiful condition except for a small part of it on the front of it. I also found my first ever arrowhead. The arrowhead is broken, but its still a cool find. I made some good finds this month. Thanks for watching everyone. HH.

On November 13th I went metal detecting at my neighbor’s house, which was built in 1695. I decided to focus on an area that I hadn’t detected much. I had been digging miscellaneous pieces of trash all day, when I got a sold penny/zinc-penny signal at about 4 inches deep. When I dug down, staring me right in the face was a big gold ring. This was my 2nd gold ring of 2011 and my 3rd in one year. When I went home to clean it up, I saw that it was from the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy – Class of 1965. On the inside I read the initials “JPD”. When I saw that I knew what I had found. I found my neighbor’s class ring. The next day, I brought it over to my neighbor and returned it to him. He was pretty happy to have his ring back and I actually received a reward. The reward consisted of a few old coins, and some finds my neighbor’s brother made while he stayed here for a month and detected. Today when I was detecting, although I didn’t find much, I had an encounter with a 10 point buck and a doe. The buck got pretty close to me before it ran away. That was something I will never forget. The ring was a great find, but I’m glad that I returned it back to my neighbor.

The day T-Man headed back on his flight for Texas..There was plenty of daylight left. So I decided to go back & Metal Detect our old “HoBo Campsite”..The hunt started off slow. So I walked back to a part of the woods that we had hunted briefly the day before with little success,and BiNgO…I found an undetected area..Marbles & old toys & trash laying right on the surface…Hope you can enjoy watching as much as I did hunting it…I have to apologize about one thing tho…I accidently repeated one 20 second segment of video ..Sorry about that..Dave
