    Hey Rob, thanks for subscribing…hard to tell…we have an idea of who lived here, but more research will have to be done into the geneaology to learn more about them from the time period. That’s a mystery we may never have answer to…the lock is, however, still secure in the locked position, I’ll email you a pic of it cleaned.

    I’d like to know more about the site? Were negro slaves kept there before the Civil War? Do you think the padlock was hacked off by a runnaway slave?

    I have a decent metal detector, and a degree in history. I know of a few sites around greenville, I know the degree means nothing,but I have some inside info on camp sites, my spectrum xlc is good but I need help, And I have permission on at least one skirmish site. close to a battle ground.Please contact if interested.
