    I use to have beer parties down there when I was a teen. That trail actually is where General Sherman crossed the river and destroyed Columbia.

    Used to live near the “zoo rapids” in this video. They periodically let water out of the damn. There’s big yellow lights that alert you when the water’s coming. The rocks you see are completely underwater within minutes, resulting in some really wicked rapids. People kayak in them, but we used to float through them on truck tire tubes. It’s extremely dangerous in spots, but hella fun.
