Metal Detecting DigginAmerica

This was an unexpected find on the way back to the truck….It was late in the afternoon at the end of a four hour hunt. My arms were somewhat tired after swinging my detector for four straight hours so I decided to slide it on my way back to the truck so as to use every moment possible on that lot with the coil on. You never know where and you never know when you might be passing right over a large cent or anything else so I make sure it’s on from the beginning to the very end of the hunt. Although I am relatively new at this comparing to most other detectorists on youtube my background and training as an auto technician dictates my style and approach. It’s second nature for me to think and always rethink how things are done and how to get the best results for my efforts………I know I can probably go immediately into an old park and start picking up clad like crazy but I want to know that machine and recognize it’s faintest whisper from it’s deepest capabilities so I’m in these fields full of trash in order to recognize as much matter as possible…….One thing I have learned lately is that hunting without headphones not only enables me to hear the targets signal but to feel it as well through my hand when the tone goes off….I can’t explain it except to say that when I’m swiping over a target slowly and repititiously I can almost feel the targets shape and size. With no headphones the sound that’s being emitted from the speaker sends a vibration through the handle
