Metal Detecting, Almost Hit The BIG ONE – www.metaldetectorx.com – So close yet so far. Is the mint mark worn off, or was there never one to begin with? You be the judge. I know next to nothing about coins, but I know enough to see I came close to hitting the BIG ONE! (snicker) I found a new black soil area (second part of video). It could turn out to be a new secret honey hole. This discovery came at a good time, as the other location has been stripped to the bone. These are the lovely black soil areas, in which you can swing a few times without breaking the threshold. This jet black soil rubs off a silver coin like it’s attached via static electricity. There is nothing like it in metal detecting. – neswiper neswiper uses the Minelab E-TRAC & 18X15 SEF Coil, sunray X-1 Target Probe 1916D Mercury Dime – Silver Coins – Metal Detectors
