Technique for retrieving shallow targets in parks or areas with manicured lawns. Sorry, no old coin or relic found… this is just to demonstrate. I basically picked the first half decent sounding signal and filmed… I didn’t want to film myself 100 times to get “a good one”. I could have “planted” a coin like others have done for dramatic effect, but I wanted this to be real…. and the reality is that metal detecting is not that glamorous. Sure you can find some good stuff, but you’re going to find a lot more trash. The beauty of it is that you never know whats going to be in the next hole…. and that’s the thrill of the hunt.
